Use Twitter to Find Shopping Deals

Twitter has become a great tool to track news, keep in touch with friends and now, find great shopping deals!

A great way to find a great deal on Twitter is to use comparison shopping. Tinymassive is a Twitter bot allowing you to compare product prices while on Twitter. Just tweet your product search to @tinymassive and the bot will get back to you with the search results generated by the site itself. In turn, the Tweet will contain the Twitter name, the search results count, the minimum price found, and a link to the search results.

Another great way to save via Twitter, is to follow your favorite money savings site. My personal favorite coupon aggregator, Cheap Stingy Bargains, posts coupons and by following I can easily keep track of the latest deals. To make this even easier, you can use a desktop application like Seesmic and you can sort the people you follow into groups, and put all the money saving friends into one group, for easy access.

You can also use Twitter based search-tools like Cheap Tweet, which posts all tweeted prices in a Digg like interface and allows tweeters to upvote deals by clicking “It’s cheap”. It also allows you to easily share the deal with your fellow deal hunters.
